DigiPin Find Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
DigiPin Find is developed by Alphabing LLC. This privacy policy explains how the app handles data on both iOS and Android platforms.
1. What data does the app collect?
Location Data
The app uses your device's GPS to determine your location and generate DigiPin codes. On iOS, this uses Apple's MapKit API. On Android, this uses Google Maps SDK and Google Play Services Location. All DigiPin code generation happens locally on your device using an offline algorithm. Your GPS coordinates are not uploaded to or stored on any Alphabing server.
Coordinates may be temporarily sent to Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) servers for reverse geocoding (converting coordinates to a readable address). This is a standard platform service and is governed by the respective platform's privacy policy.
Saved DigiPins
Users can optionally save DigiPin cards, which are stored locally on the device in private app storage. Saved DigiPins are inaccessible to other apps or servers and can be viewed or deleted at any time from the Saved tab.
Advertising Data (Android)
The Android version of DigiPin Find displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve relevant ads:
- Device advertising identifier (Ad ID)
- General device information (device model, OS version)
- IP address (used to estimate general location for ad relevance)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Advertising Privacy Policy. Alphabing LLC does not have access to or store this advertising data. Users can reset or opt out of personalised ads through their device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).
2. How is collected data used?
- GPS data is used only to position the map and generate DigiPin codes. Processing happens locally on the device.
- Reverse geocoding temporarily sends coordinates to Apple or Google servers to display a readable address.
- Advertising identifiers (Android only) are used by Google AdMob to display ads within the app. Alphabing LLC does not use this data for any other purpose.
3. Is data shared with third parties?
- GPS coordinates are not shared with any third party other than Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) for map rendering and reverse geocoding, which are standard platform services.
- Advertising data (Android only) is shared with Google AdMob for the purpose of serving ads. No other third parties receive any user data.
- Alphabing LLC does not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to outside parties.
4. How long is data retained?
- Location data is not stored after generating a DigiPin unless the user explicitly saves it.
- Saved DigiPins remain on the device until manually deleted by the user.
- Advertising data retention is managed by Google AdMob per their data retention policies.
5. Children's Privacy
DigiPin Find does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information input.
DigiPin Algorithm Note
DigiPin codes are calculated using an offline algorithm modelled after official geospatial principles supported by the Government of India, including the Digital Address Code initiative by India Post and mapping resources from ISRO and the Survey of India. This app is not affiliated with any government body.
