1. What data does the app collect?

The app does not collect or store personal information, user accounts, or any identifying data. The app uses GPS coordinates solely to determine the user’s location through the Google Maps API. All GPS-based processing occurs locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to Alphabing LLC or any external server.

Reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates into an address) may involve communication with Google Maps services to obtain address information. This interaction is entirely managed by Google and subject to Google’s privacy policies. Alphabing LLC does not collect, transmit, or store this data.

2. Provide a complete and clear explanation of all planned uses of the collected data.

Location data is used only within the app to calculate the DIGIPIN code using an offline algorithm. The DIGIPIN algorithm operates locally on the device without requiring network access. Reverse geocoding requests are made directly to Google Maps services to display human-readable addresses.

The app does not store location data unless the user explicitly saves a DIGIPIN. Saved DIGIPINs are stored locally on the device in private app storage and are accessible only within the app.

3. Will the GPS data be shared with any third parties? Where will this information be stored?

No. Alphabing LLC does not share GPS data with any third parties. Location data remains on the device unless the user manually shares a DIGIPIN using external apps (e.g., messaging or email apps). All saved DIGIPIN data is stored locally in private app storage, inaccessible to other apps or external servers.

Reverse geocoding requests are handled directly by Google Maps APIs, and Google may process such requests per their own terms.

4. How long will the GPS data be retained?

Location data is not retained after generating a DIGIPIN unless the user manually saves it. Saved DIGIPINs remain on the user’s device until manually deleted. There is no automatic collection, retention, or external storage of location history.

5. DIGIPIN Algorithm Credits

DIGIPIN codes are calculated using an offline algorithm modeled after official geospatial principles supported by the Government of India, including the Digital Address Code initiative by India Post and mapping resources from ISRO and the Survey of India.
