When you select a group photo in the app, FacePicto uses Apple’s on-device Vision API to detect face bounding boxes (rectangular coordinates showing where faces appear in the photo). The app does not collect biometric data, facial landmarks, or personally identifiable facial data. This face data is used only to organize and display faces in list, grid, or video formats. You may choose to label each face with a name or title to help organize your content. All of this data remains private and local to your device. At no point is your photo or face data transmitted, uploaded, or stored on any external server. All processing takes place entirely on your device.

Images and face data are stored temporarily within the app’s private user profile memory, which is not accessible by any other apps. This storage allows you to work across multiple sessions. Data is automatically cleared when a new image is selected. You can also remove all stored image and face-related data manually using the “Delete” button provided on the app’s home screen.
